Along with the end of the week comes another installment of our regular roundup of Apple-related speculation. Today we will talk, for example, about the spring Keynote and the products to be presented at it, about 6G connectivity at Apple and the Always-On display concept at the iPhone.

Spring Keynote date

It has been a tradition for Apple to hold a Spring Keynote for many years - it is usually held in March. Since the beginning of this year, there have been speculations about when this year's spring Keynote might take place. The Cult of Mac server reported last week that March 2021 is the most likely date for the first Keynote of 16. Apple should present new iPad Pro models, a significantly redesigned iPad mini, and AirTags location tags are also in play. In connection with this year's iPad models, there is also talk of mini-LED displays, there is also speculation about an iPad with 5G connectivity and built-in magnets for new types of accessories. In the case of the iPad mini, there should be a significant narrowing of the frames around the display, the diagonal of which could thus increase up to 9″ without having to increase the body of the iPad as such.

Apple is exploring the possibilities of 6G connectivity

Although 5G iPhones were only launched last year, Apple is already starting to explore the possibilities of 6G connectivity. He recently published a job offer in which he asks for engineers who should work on the next generation of wireless technology. The place of work should be Apple's offices in Silicon Valley and San Diego. The company promises applicants a unique opportunity to work at the very center of breakthrough technology research, according to Apple, employees will be dedicated to "research and design of next-generation wireless communication technologies." Mark Gurman from the Bloomberg agency drew attention to the ad.

The concept of Always-On display in iPhones

In today's summary, there is also room for one very interesting concept. He is toying with the idea of an Always-On display on the iPhone. So far, only the Apple Watch has received this function, but many users are calling for it in the case of smartphones as well. There is currently speculation that this function could find its way into this year's iPhones - in the video below this paragraph you can see one of the variants of how the Always-On display could look like in practice. According to EverythingApplePro's Max Weinbach, the iPhone's Always-On display should only offer minimal customization options. In the video below this paragraph, we can notice the display of the battery charge status, time data and the display of received notifications. But it is rumored that the design of the Always-On display from Apple itself will be much more minimalistic.
