The as-yet-unreleased AirTags locator tags are already something of a fixture in our regular speculation roundups – and this week will be no different. In addition to AirTag, today we will also talk about future MagSafe accessories or perhaps the refresh rate of the display of future iPhones.

AirTags and third-party app support

There is really no shortage of news related to Apple's AirTag locator tags lately. The latest one concerns the developer beta version of the iOS 14.3 operating system, which suggests that we could really see the arrival of AirTags in the foreseeable future. In the aforementioned version of iOS, a code appeared, thanks to which it is possible to reveal how this accessory will work. It looks like we'll be able to use other third-party location tags in the Find app in addition to AirTags.

Smart MagSafe accessory

The MagSafe accessory for this year's iPhone 12 has only been around for a while, but that doesn't stop speculation about its next generations. A newly discovered patent describes an accessory of this type that could theoretically be able to allow the iPhone to run faster even at higher temperatures without damaging the device. When charging and simultaneously using (not only) the iPhone, there is a higher risk of overheating, which can cause problems for the device in question and inconvenience for the user. Future MagSafe cases for the iPhone could allow Apple smartphones to detect the case - if this detection occurs, the iPhone will continue to run at the same performance despite the high temperature. Simply put, the phone will recognize that one of the causes of the higher temperature is the presence of a cover, and it will not reduce its performance.

iPhone 13 display and AirTags release date

This year's iPhones haven't even had time to warm up on store shelves yet, and there are already new speculations related to the next generation of Apple smartphones. Well-known leaker Jon Prosser took care of the details again, who stated that the iPhone 13 display should offer a refresh rate of 120 Hz. In addition to future iPhones, Prosser also mentioned AirTags tracking tags this week, which he says could see the light of day alongside the full version of iOS 14.3. According to Prosser, Apple should introduce this news through a classic press release.
