After the holidays, our regular review of Apple-related speculation is back. With almost the whole of another year ahead of us, today we present analyst Ming-Chi Kuo's predictions for the near future. However, we will (again) also talk about AirTags location tags or the functions of the Apple Watch Series 7.

Ming Chi Kuo and the future of Apple in 2021

Well-known analyst Ming Chi Kuo commented on what we could expect from Apple this year in connection with the beginning of the year. According to Kuo's statement, the company will almost certainly present the long-awaited AirTags location tags this year. In connection with Apple, there has also been talk of glasses or a headset for augmented reality (AR) for some time. In this context, Kuo first held the opinion that we will not see a device of this type before 2022. However, he recently revised this prediction, saying that Apple could come with its AR device already this year, in the fall at the earliest. According to Kuo, this year should see the introduction of a richer range of computers with M1 processors, the arrival of an iPad with a mini-LED display, or perhaps the introduction of the second generation of AirPods Pro headphones.

AirTags

You won't be short of news this week either, regarding the yet-to-be-presented AirTags location tags. As many times in the past, the well-known leaker Jon Prosser commented on them, who shared a 3D animation on his YouTube channel, allegedly from a software engineer who, for understandable reasons, wished to remain anonymous. The aforementioned animation should be displayed on the iPhone when it is paired with the pendant, similar to the case of wireless headphones, for example. However, Prosser did not share any other details in that post, but in one of his previous posts he said that he expects the pendants to arrive this year.

Measurements on Apple Watch Series 7

This fall, Apple will almost certainly introduce a new generation of its Apple Watch. Speculation about what functions and design the Apple Watch Series 7 should offer began to be speculated at the moment of the introduction of last year's model. According to some sources, this year's generation of Apple Watch could offer a blood pressure measurement function, which has been missing from Apple's smartwatch until now. Incorporating this function into a watch is not exactly easy, and the results of such measurements are often not very reliable. The Apple Watch Series 6 was supposed to already offer pressure measurements, but Apple failed to fine-tune everything necessary in time. One factor supporting the theory of a blood pressure measurement feature on the Apple Watch Series 7 is a related patent that Apple recently registered.
