In today's roundup of events related to Apple, we will talk about WWDC in June, among other things. This week, Apple itself indicated that this year's WWDC could offer truly groundbreaking news. Other parts of the summary will talk about the outage of Apple services or the fact that last year's iPhones are losing popularity.

Outage of Apple services

Apple customers have had to deal with massive service outages over the past week, more than once. These were, for example, problems with signing in to Apple ID or with outages of the Apple Music streaming service, problems also appeared with Weather, and several times already. Some users have also reported issues with App Store payments, two-factor authentication, and other issues on social media and discussion forums. Although the extent of the outage was large, fortunately it did not last too long, and after a few hours everything was fine.

Apple beckons at WWDC

Already next month, we can look forward to the traditional WWDC developer conference. As the date of the event draws closer, speculation is also starting to intensify that we could expect a really busy WWDC this year. Apple also fueled this speculation this week by issuing a press release announcing the arrival of Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro to iPads. This is a fairly major innovation that Apple would normally save for WWDC. Its release via press release suggests that there are even more major announcements to come at WWDC.

Uninteresting iPhone 14 (Pro)

PerfectRec published a study this week on how users around the world rate selected smartphone models, including the iPhone 14 (Pro). User reviews on Google became the basis for the study. According to these reviews, there has been a fairly significant decline in the popularity of iPhones - the full number of stars, i.e. 5, was awarded to the iPhone 14 by "only" 72% of users. Although this is still the majority, it is also a significant decrease compared to last year's models. The iPhone 14 Pro is in a similar situation, which received a 76% five-star rating.
