Just like at the end of each week, today on the website of Jablíčkára we bring you a summary of some of the events that took place in connection with the Apple company in the past week. In addition to new beta versions of operating systems, we will also discuss the role of AirTag in finding a stolen bicycle or soccer player Lionel Messi, which is intended to attract new subscribers to the streaming service  TV+ (or the Season Pass package).

New beta versions of operating systems

Apple has released new public beta versions of its operating systems over the past week. Specifically, it was the fourth betas of the operating systems iOS 17 and iPadOS 17. But those who are registered in the developer beta testing program also got their way. For those of you, Apple released the sixth developer beta of watchOS 10 over the past week along with the new developer beta of tvOS 17. You can install the iOS beta by going to Settings -> General -> System Update on your iPhone.

AirTag in the role of savior of a stolen bike

Some Apple products occasionally play a significant role in various stories with a happy ending. This was not the case in the recent case of a bicycle stolen in Utrecht, the Netherlands. Due to the increasing number of thefts, a married couple there decided to equip their bicycles with AirTag tracking tags. That it was a reasonable step was confirmed when one of the bikes was stolen. Thanks to AirTag and its connection with the native application Najít, it was possible to reliably track the location of the bike, and the local police helped the couple find it later. The search for the perpetrator is currently underway.

Messi on  TV+

The streaming service  TV+ has already reached out to football fans some time ago, offering them a "football package" in selected regions, where you can watch selected matches, as well as various analyses, commentaries and other content. Popular soccer player Lionel Messi, who recently transferred to the Inter Miami club, has become the main current mover to attract more users to subscribe to the mentioned package. The aforementioned move resulted in a demonstrable increase in subscribers to the soccer package, and Apple is now hoping for further growth after making Messi the star and face of the service. But it won't just be about the matches - a six-part documentary about Messi and his career should see the light of day in the foreseeable future.
