The week is over, and along with that, on the website of Jablíčkára, we bring you another Week with Apple - that is, an overview of selected events that took place during the past week in connection with the company Apple. Today we will discuss, for example, another production move outside of China or perhaps a curious case of an arrest due to the Find service.

Karaoke by Apple

Karaoke is one of the popular types of entertainment not only at parties. If you are planning to organize a karaoke party this year, for example, on New Year's Eve, you will have a special service directly from Apple available for these purposes. Apple intends to make the karaoke function available to subscribers of the Apple Music streaming service in the foreseeable future. In this case, it will be called Apple Music Sing, and it will offer several options for enjoying karaoke, including duets. Apple promises an extensive and ever-growing library of well-known and lesser-known songs in karaoke arrangements, the service should be available to Apple Music subscribers worldwide by the end of this month at the latest, and you'll be able to use it on iPhone, iPad and the new Apple TV 4K .

iPad manufacturing in India

Apple has long spent some of its efforts to reduce its dependence on China. As part of these activities, the company is also trying to gradually move at least part of the production of its products to areas outside of China. Most often, it is Vietnam or perhaps India. According to the CNBC news site, Apple is also planning to move the production of its tablets to India. According to CNBC, preliminary negotiations are currently underway with the local authorities, but a number of factors are preventing the realization of production plans, starting with a lack of qualified workers and ending with unfavorable relations between India and China.

Apple released a new generation of its iPad Pro this year:

Pensioner Find and Arrest Service

The service called Find is a useful tool that is usually used to find a lost or stolen Apple device, an object equipped with an AirTag, or to remotely lock, erase or ring selected devices. But this service also unintentionally "saw" the arrest of an innocent and unsuspecting 77-year-old pensioner. This happened in connection with a robbery that was committed at the beginning of this year, in which, among other things, an iPhone 11 was stolen. After many months, it was this one that appeared as active on the Find it network, in the place of residence of the mentioned woman , where a SWAT team immediately swooped in after being alerted by the iPhone's original owner and arrested the woman. In the end, it turned out that the person in question had absolutely nothing to do with the stolen iPhone, and the whole thing ended with a lawsuit filed against the detective who was responsible for dispatching the emergency unit.
