Along with the end of the week, we bring you a summary of news related to Apple. In the course of the past week, speculations about the acquisition of Disney by Apple have been debunked once again, and the Oceanic+ app for the Apple Watch Ultra has finally arrived on the App Store.

The acquisition of Disney by Apple will not take place

Not so long ago, there was quite a lot of speculation that Apple could buy Disney. It's not the first time that this possibility has been talked about, and it's not the first time that said speculation has been debunked almost immediately. The pretext for speculation this time was the personnel changes in the management of the Disney company, which included the return of Bob Iger. Disney has put the 71-year-old Iger in charge for two years until a new CEO can be found. Iger previously led Disney for two decades. Iger previously served on Apple's board of directors for several years before stepping down after Apple began competing with Disney for original video content. So it was Iger himself who refuted theories about a possible acquisition or merger during the past week, calling them "pure speculation".

Oceanic+ is coming to Apple Watch Ultra

In the past week, owners of this year's Apple Watch Ultra received a new application called Oceanic+, which Apple developed in cooperation with Huish Outdoors. The application is intended for those who want to use the Apple Watch Ultra also for recreational diving. The Oceanic+ application is available for free in its basic version, but it also offers bonus features for which interested parties pay less than $10 per month. If you're interested in the Oceanic+ app, be sure to keep an eye on our sister magazine Apple's Flight Around the World, which should feature an extensive article on its testing in the near future.

AirPods helped track down a stolen car

You are probably already used to the news about how the Apple Watch has helped save human life. Last week, however, a slightly different message appeared on the WccfTech website. This time it was wireless AirPods, which played a key role in the successful tracking down of a stolen car. Mike McCormack, the car's owner, was returning to his car to retrieve a forgotten bottle. Unfortunately, he couldn't find the car because it was stolen. But in the car, McCormack also forgot his AirPods, which were connected to the Find function, in addition to the bottle. Thanks to this, it was possible to locate the stolen car on the map almost immediately, and to recover it with the help of the police. The pair of perpetrators were successfully apprehended and are currently facing multiple charges.
