Spotify won't just get on Apple TV (October 18)

Spotify, the most widespread music streaming service with a base of more than 40 million paying users, will not support the tvOS operating system in the near future. According to a discussion on the GitHub server, this platform is currently being used by a Swedish company "does not prefer", which means that owners of the fourth-generation Apple TV will still need to use AirPlay to stream Spotify.

This situation can hurt competitors like Pandora and Apple Music, which are featured on Apple TV. After all, the music service from the Cupertino workshops is the biggest rival of the Scandinavian giant. In terms of paying users, however, Spotify still leads: 40 million versus 17 million. If we also add Spotify to the good and users using the free version of the service, the Swedes can boast of more than 100 million users.

The world-famous racing game Asphalt from the French developers Gameloft will soon expand its portfolio of titles with a brand new one under the name Asphalt Extreme. It is focused on the off-road environment with more than 35 licensed cars in the form of buggies, racing rally cars and off-road SUV vehicles. The player will be able to use all these types and race them in locations such as Egypt, Thailand or the Gobi desert. The exact release date of the game is not yet known.

SoundShare for iMessage makes it even easier to share music (20/10)

SoundShare is a music social network available only through iPhone. It aims to share music essentially regardless of source (at least in theory).

SoundShare also applies the same philosophy to its iMessage app. The application will initially offer a list of the hundred most popular songs in iTunes, but of course you can also search for any other. The selected track is then presented to the recipient of the message as a large image of the respective album with the title and artist.

Tapping the image brings up options to play the song, with the three main links going to iTunes, Apple Music and YouTube. But the "Open in SoundShare" button will also offer other streaming services such as Spotify and Deezer. If the given user is logged in to one of the services through SoundShare, the song will start playing.

Important update

The sixth "big" version of Scanbot has been released

Scanbot is one of the most popular mobile applications for document scanning. It handles documents, QR codes and barcodes. The fifth major update focuses mainly on working with documents after scanning.

Scanned documents are primarily saved as PDF files, and the application now offers wide options for working with them efficiently. Scanbot 6.0 allows you to rotate pages in PDF files, change their order, and add notes using text highlighting tools, pencils of several colors, and erasers. In the version Pro the OCR function for text recognition can now be turned off.

To make the arrival of the new "big" version immediately obvious, the application icon has also changed. The somewhat infantile face was replaced with a document image.
