The Unity engine supports game controllers in iOS 7, the latest Tomb Raider is coming to Mac, Wolf Among Us is coming to Mac in a few days, while the previously exclusive Android game - Ingress - isn't coming until next year. An alternative client for Dropbox, Boxie and a new Batman game were also released, there are also a few important updates and a line of discounts. This is the 42nd week of applications.

Unity Engine now supports game controllers for iOS 7 (12/10)

Game controllers with support for iOS 7 should appear in the near future, for which Apple has prepared its own framework to create a standard for developers and hardware manufacturers. The new update to the Unity engine, which powers thousands of games in the App Store, including the successful Czech game Shadowgun, now includes direct support for game controllers, so developers can more easily implement it into their games. The drivers are expected to appear as early as this month, among the manufacturers preparing the drivers are Logitech, Clamcase or Moga.

The new Tomb Raider is also coming to Mac (12.)

Feral Interactive This year, he released a new game in the Tomb Raider series, a reboot of the original series that takes the game into a whole new realm and offers a much more dynamic storyline than we were used to with Lara Croft, much more reminiscent of Uncharted. Surgical precision when jumping from platforms and an arsenal of weapons are replaced by a strong storyline, action scenes and a bow with arrows. In the game, we take on the young Lara, whose ship has been wrecked on an unknown island and she will have to fight for bare survival with the natives and other enemies. The new Tomb Raider is also coming to Mac, however, more detailed information is not yet known, the release was revealed only by a trailer for the game on Feral Interactive website.

Google Finally Releases Ingress for iOS Next Year (13/10)

The game, so far exclusive only to the Android operating system, Ingress, should finally reach iOS devices in the course of the next year. Ingress is an online augmented reality game developed directly by Google and uses Google Maps as the game surface. In Ingress, you play as one of the opposing sides, the Enlightened or the Resistance, and collect clues about a mysterious new technology. The story unfolds in real time and Google adds new content every week. During movement on the map (i.e. by physical movement), players reach important points and gain points from them for their side. Over a million players worldwide, including the Czech Republic, are registered in the game.

Wolf Among Us from Walking Dead Creators Delayed for Mac (14/10)

The new game from the creators of the successful Walking Dead adventure game, or rather its Mac version, will be delayed. Wolf Among Us is a similar story-driven game to the previous title based on the popular zombie apocalypse comic and shares with it a cartoon style of graphics combined with 3D. The story takes place in Fabletown, where characters from fairy tales disguise themselves as ordinary people and try to live with the human inhabitants of the town without being revealed. The turning point occurs when the first brutal murder of one of the fairy-tale characters appears in the city, and you as the wolf from Red Riding Hood (in human form) and at the same time as a detective must find out who is behind the murder. You will gradually meet other characters, Beauty and the Beast, Snow White or the brothers Tydlidym and Tydlidum from Alice in Wonderland. The Mac version will be delayed for a few days due to alleged unexpected issues.

Unfortunately, the game is freemium, in the worst sense of the word. After playing for a while, you'll be forced to replenish Batman's stamina with in-app purchases, alongside other purchasable items like new suits.

Boxie - an alternative client for Dropbox

Although the official client for Dropbox is an excellent application in many ways, the alternative client Boxie will offer some advanced features that will please especially demanding users. At the forefront, the application allows you to work with file versions, which Dropbox can only do in the web version. It is also possible to save files for offline viewing and manipulation, display notifications for events in Dropbox, create bookmarks for files or search for files more precisely. In addition, the application is wrapped in a beautiful minimalist user interface.

Real Racing 3 with Ferrari

The update of the latest work of the racing game Real Racing brings three new cars from the Ferrari stable, as well as a new track - the Spanish Circuit de Catalunya - a new Time Trial Ghost Challenge mode and the ability to hire reinforcements to the team to get in-game currency and other bonuses. In addition, the update also fixes bugs in AI and allows you to customize the HUD elements on the display. You can find Real Racing 3 in the App Store free.

Facebook 6.6 will allow you to edit posts

The new version of Facebook for iOS has finally brought some features that users have been clamoring for. Foremost is the ability to edit posts. Each of your statuses can now be corrected after posting. Photos and emoticons can also be inserted into post reactions. The Czech application TeeVee brought calendar integration in the new update. It is now possible to add an overview of upcoming series to your calendar application.
