In addition to the new look, we can look forward to the integration of Reminders, landscape mode, support for TextExpander and others. Fantastical 2 will be released as a brand new app, not an update, and will be available in October. Additionally, Flexbits mentioned an iPad version. It was in preparation even before the announcement of iOS 7, but due to the huge changes in the new system, the development was postponed and we should see the tablet version later as a separate application.

BlackBerry Messenger for iOS and Android will be delayed

This week saw the release of the much-anticipated BlackBerry Messenger app, which was supposed to bring the previously popular secure IM service to the two biggest mobile operating systems. However, the Android version leaked prematurely (recording 1,1 million downloads), so BlackBerry stopped the release of the app for both Android and iOS, which had already appeared in the App Store in New Zealand or Australia. Users who have already downloaded the iOS version can use the app, but the leaked Android version has been disabled. According to its blog, BlackBerry is currently working on fixes caused by the leak of the Android version, and the app should hopefully return to digital stores within a few days.

New applications

Grand Theft Auto: iFruit

For its new game Grand Theft Auto 5 (which made a billion dollars in 6 days of sales), Rockstar has released a companion application for iOS, in which players can customize the equipment and appearance of their cars in the game directly on the screen of the iPhone or iPad. The application also contains a minigame in which you take care of the dog Chop. In it you can teach him new tricks, play with him and feed him. Chop appears directly in the game as a pet for your character, and can help you find hidden objects, by training him you will get benefits directly in GTA 5. The name of the iFruit application is derived, among other things, from GTA 4, where it was possible to visit an Apple parody site on the Internet, only instead of an apple, you could meet an iOvoc.
