Action game Skylanders heads to iPad along with game controller (12/8)

Well-known developer studio Activison has announced a new game title for iPad, Skylanders Trap Team. This action game is aimed primarily at young players, and the developers promise that the title will launch in the US on October 5th. Together with the release of the game to the App Store, a special game package will be prepared for users, which will contain not only 2 game figures and a portal (plastic pad), but above all a game controller that can be paired with the device via Bluetooth technology. Thanks to the multiplayer function, it will even be possible to connect two controllers to one device.

The controller itself is completely adapted to the game and the overall ergonomics of the grip for young players. The developers from the Activison studio have of course promised that the game will also be able to be controlled using the classic touch method, and the controller is intended to serve primarily as a stronger and better experience of playing Skylanders Trap Team. The special portal, i.e. the plastic mat that you will also receive in the package together with the controller, also serves as a holder for your iPad and thanks to this you will be able to play the game on any surface, be it on the table, couch or in the children's room on the floor. This portal will also be justified in the role of a virtual portal that will allow game characters to create virtual doubles in the game. There is not much information yet on how this will work in practice, as the developers are still working on this feature. Skylanders Trap Team will become a full-fledged game on your iPad, as evidenced by the 6 GB of free memory you will need to install this game. The entire game package will be available for purchase for $75.

Twitter responds to Facebook and wants to launch video ads (13/8)

Probably all users of the social network Facebook have become accustomed to the ubiquitous advertising videos that are found on your profile. The social network Twitter wants to catch up with its competitor in the field of marketing and is also starting to test video ads.

It will now be possible to have advertising videos displayed to users of the Twitter social network for a fee. The advertiser will also have access to statistical data related to his advertisement and will therefore know how many people have watched his video and how effective his advertising campaign is. On the payment side, Twitter will offer advertisers a new Cost Per View (CPV) mode for video ads. So the advertiser only pays for videos that the user actually plays.

Fans and users of the social network Twitter will have no choice but to get used to the ads and hope that, following the example of Facebook, Twitter will not start the automatic playback of these video ads. The second option is to use one of the alternative Twitter clients, whose advantages include the absence of advertisements. If you are thinking about buying such a client, we wrote for you some time ago comparison of the most interesting of nich.

Flipboard will come with video advertising soon (14/8)

After Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, Flipboard also unveiled plans for video advertising. This service, which is an alternative to RSS readers and provides the user with a kind of tailor-made magazine, will start pushing advertisements to users already in the spring.

Mike McCue, the service's founder and CEO, announced that Flipboard will release details on video advertising capabilities within the service as early as next month. The first advertisers and official partners of this advertising project will be Lufthansa airlines, fashion brands Chanel and Gucci, and Conrad Hotels and Chrysler.

McCue boasted that advertising on Flipboard will be more effective than advertising on television, according to analytics firm Nielsen. This analysis is based on data from the effectiveness of Flipboard's existing static ads, so it will be interesting to see if the new ad format lives up to expectations.

It is also possible to upload the animation to the Camoji website and get a link that you can then distribute as you like. The last option is to export to your image library. SIMSme – a new secure communicator developed by the German Deutsche Post

The German postal authority Deutsche Post surprisingly comes with a new secure communication application. The main attraction of the application is supposed to be the security of communication using end-to-end encryption, which Deutsche Post itself guarantees. In addition, the first million users will get the auto-delete conversation feature for free.

The application is free and should remain free. Functionally, SIMSme does not compete with applications such as WhatsApp, but bets on trustworthiness and security for users. Sending multimedia or importing contacts from your system directory is a matter of course.
