A classic Monty Python sketch has become the template for a mobile game

"Ministry of Stupid Walking" is one of the most famous sketches from the famous British comedy series Monty Python's Flying Circus. It represents a government body focused on strange types of walking, where one day a man comes with his walking design and a request for a grant.

The game is an endless journey of the main character of a given sketch through a diverse environment offering many pitfalls for an ordinary pedestrian. Fortunately, the character (actor from the original sketch John Cleese) you control is far from an ordinary pedestrian and with the help of his atypical walk, an umbrella and your instructions, he copes with all the obstacles. Plus, he collects coins that can later be exchanged for more special footwork. The game is available in the App Store for 0,99 €.

Important update

Opera Mini got a new design and interesting functions

Opera Mini has received a major update and comes with many new features, including a rapidly redesigned user interface. The new version of this fairly popular web browser comes with a flatter and simpler design that finally matches the current look of iOS.

However, Opera Mini didn't just get a new coat. Among the biggest news is the useful option of selecting "data mode". Opera allows you to view pages without data compression (e.g. on WiFi), in Opera Turbo mode with reasonable data compression (for normal use within FUP), and a special ultra-saving mode is also available (e.g. for use when roaming).

In addition, Opera Mini 8 will also offer a new favorites page and work with open panels has also been improved. You can move between them using a gesture to the sides, and you can also close them with a convenient flick upwards. A useful improvement is also the ability to quickly change the search provider, using a special button above the keyboard. So if you're looking for a movie, for example, you can search for it directly within IMDB, and in the same way, various searches can also be targeted at Wikipedia, eBay, and the like.

Dropbox continues to expand its capabilities

This is a tenth update, so it does not contain too many changes. But several useful functions have been added. The order of items in the "Favorites" tab can be adjusted by simply holding and moving, the application remembers recent locations when importing files, support for several languages has been added (Danish, Swedish, Thai and Dutch - so we are still waiting for Czech) and many minor errors have been fixed...

But the most interesting thing is the ability to "set up" Dropbox on the desktop. Just visit www.dropbox.com/connect, where we will see a QR code - we scan it using the application on the phone, after which the Dropbox management application will be downloaded on the computer.

Mailbox further improves its auto-swipe

Dropbox-owned Mailbox continues to develop rapidly, and the latest update will please many users. The alpha and omega of the application is working with electronic mail and achieving the so-called inbox zero. This can be achieved with simple gestures that make working with e-mails fast and elegant.

In the update, Mailbox received another improvement to the revolutionary auto-swipe function, which automatically sorts mail, and in version 2.0.3, it moves it a little higher again. What is new is the possibility to manually set a rule for this automatic sorting. So if you now want to apply a certain action (delete, archive, postpone for later,...) to future e-mails from the same sender, you simply hold your finger on that action and the rule is set. Mailbox download for free from the App Store.

Box for iOS now supports shared Box Notes

Box cloud storage came with interesting news this week. The updated iOS app now supports Box Notes, which lets you create shared notes. The possibility of working with shared notes was announced by Box officials back in September, but the company has only now begun to implement it globally. In addition, Android users will have to wait a little longer, whose application will not be updated until the summer.

SoundCloud, the popular music uploading and discovery service, has received a major update to its iPhone app. The most significant change is the completely new design, which is flatter, simpler and better fits the concept of iOS 7. The controls have also been changed, thanks to which you should always have everything important at hand.

Among other things, access to individual user profiles was also facilitated. You can now access them directly from a specific song or playlist. In addition, your playlists and songs you've "liked" have been grouped together, so you can get to your favorite songs more easily. Finally, the good news is that iPad support has been promised and should come in future updates.

The Weather Channel app for iPad has received an iOS 7-style redesign

The Weather Channel app for iPad has also received a nice update. The update to version 4.0.0 is again in the spirit of bringing the design closer to the flat iOS 7. However, new background images are also new, which graphically illustrate the current state of the weather. The navigation in the application was also improved.

The Weather Channel service is also interesting in that it replaces Yahoo Weather as the system weather data source in iOS 8. Download the official application of the service to yours Free iPads from the App Store.

Facebook Pages Manager now allows you to edit posts

Facebook has updated its page manager and introduced some new features in addition to cosmetic changes. The biggest novelty of version 4.0 is the ability to edit published posts directly in the application, which was not possible until now. Furthermore, the application will offer easier access to activities and information about which of the administrators made the post. The last feature to mention is the ability to reply to specific comments in a discussion thread.
