The Sunrise calendar will not survive this summer (11/5)

V February last year Microsoft bought the popular Sunrise calendar. In July, Sunrise got the last update and in October he has begun its functions take over Microsoft Outlook. Now Microsoft has announced that Sunrise will soon disappear completely, as its independent existence alongside the equally capable Outlook no longer makes sense.

This means that before long, the Sunrise calendar will disappear from the App Store and will stop working for all users on August 31st of this year. The Sunrise development team has become part of the Outlook team.

Disney Infinity ends on all platforms (11/5)

The end of development of Disney Infinity 3.0 not long after its release for Apple TV disappointed gamers in March of this year. Most of all those who invested in a hundred dollar package with a controller (which can still be bought).

"Apple Music users' music libraries disappearing is a bug we're working on fixing," Apple says (13/5)

For some time now, some users of the Apple Music streaming service on the Internet have described their outrage after some or all of their locally stored music library disappeared from their computers, only to be replaced by download puffs from Apple's servers. He confirmed to iMore yesterday that this was not their intention and is probably the result of a bug in iTunes:

“In a very limited number of cases, users have experienced music files stored on their computers being deleted without their permission. Knowing how important music is to our customers, we take these reports seriously and our teams are focused on identifying the cause. We haven't been able to fully get to the bottom of the problem yet, but we'll be releasing an update to iTunes early next week that will add additional security that should prevent the bug. If the user experiences this issue, they should contact AppleCare.”

Google Gboard is a keyboard with built-in search

[su_youtube url=”https://youtu.be/F0vg4HUEIyk” width=”640″]

In late March, The Verge discovered that Google, motivated in part by smartphone users' declining interest in its search, was working on an iOS keyboard that would have search built into it. Google has now released just such a keyboard, named Gboard. In addition to the classic word whisperer, the bar above the alphabet buttons contains an icon with a colored "G". Tapping it will reveal a search box for websites, places, emoticons, and still and GIF images. The results can then be copied into the message text by dragging and dropping.

Google Gboard is not yet available in the Czech App Store and, unfortunately, it is not certain that it will arrive in the near future. One of the key functions of the keyboard is the already mentioned whispering of words, which does not yet work in Czech. Without it, Google probably won't bring the keyboard to our market.

Opera on iOS brings the option of connecting to a VPN for free

[su_youtube url=”https://youtu.be/FhqKcxKAq7M” width=”640″]

Opera desktop browser with a free VPN in its developer version he got it some time ago. But now the possibility to access the Internet from an anonymous IP address located in one of the selected countries is also available on iOS. To be able to use VPN for free, the user just needs to download a new application Opera VPN. In this way, he will gain access to content that is not available in his country and at the same time he will be able to navigate the web more securely.

The application uses the services of the American company SurfEasy VPN, which Opera bought a year ago. SurfEasy also offers its own iOS application, but the user has to pay a monthly fee to use it after the trial period. Opera, on the other hand, offers its VPN completely free and without restrictions. As an added bonus, the app blocks ads and various tracking scripts. For now, it is possible to connect from Canadian, German, Dutch, American and Singapore anonymous IP addresses.

To use the application, it is enough to install it and then let a few steps be taken, during which Opera will create a new VPN profile. You can then turn off the VPN with a single tap inside the application, or in the iPhone or iPad settings.

A new app will tell you if someone has hacked you

A German IT security expert has created an application called System and Security Info, the sole purpose of which is to tell the user whether his iPhone has been hacked, i.e. whether it contains malware. So the app will tell you in simple language if the iOS version you are using is "authentic". The software is also able to detect various anomalies and thus verify for you, for example, a special signature that should be provided with each system update.

So if you want to make sure you're not unknowingly sharing your phone data with anyone, donate a dollar. The application is available in the App Store and is already at the top of the list among paid applications.

Update (16/5): the application was withdrawn from sale due to an alleged violation of the terms of the App Store.

Important update

Pebble Time has learned new health features including smart alarm

Smart watch maker Pebble has long completely ignored the sports potential of wearable devices, but in December of last year it came out with the Health app, which at least added the ability to count steps and measure sleep quality to its watch. But now the company is bringing another update and owners of Pebble Time watches will gain access to additional health data.

Do app for iPhone a new "Health" tab has been added to Android, which is used to manage the watch, in which you can view a comparison of your activity with previous days, weeks and months. With the latest update, the application also sends daily activity summaries to the watch and gives the user various tips related to his activity.

The update also includes a smart wake-up function, thanks to which the alarm application, which is present in the watch, will wake you up at the moment when you are sleeping the least. The watch waits for such a moment in the last thirty minutes until the cut-off wake-up time. Thanks to this gadget, which is used by a number of smart sports bracelets, getting up won't be so painful for you.

The last significant innovation is the improved ability to communicate from the watch, either through prepared messages or dictation. At the same time, you will be offered the latest and favorite contacts.
