Facebook Messenger now allows you to send files from Dropbox (April 12)
Facebook Messenger is becoming an increasingly capable communicator over time, and it received a minor improvement this week as well. You can now easily share files from Dropbox through Messenger without leaving the app. You can now find Dropbox directly in the conversation under the symbol of three dots. From there, you can access files available in your cloud storage with a single click and instantly send them to the counterparty. The only requirement is that you have the Dropbox app installed on your phone.
The feature comes to users gradually and is not a classic one-time update. But we can already see the new feature on editorial iPhones, so you shouldn't be deprived of the possibility to easily share files either.

Instagram launches new Explore tab, focuses on video (14/4)
Facebook is really serious about video, and it shows in the latest version of the Instagram app. In the tab for discovering new content, videos are now featured prominently on Instagram. In addition, the user can sort by topic and discover new interesting creators more easily. Also new in the Explore section is a grid with recommended channels, in which you will find another list of videos sorted by individual topics.
Of course, the algorithm used to compile the Explore bookmark tries to match the content to your taste as much as possible. However, the nice thing is that you can customize the selection of videos yourself. For videos that don't interest you, you can simply tap the command to indicate that you want to see fewer similar posts.
The discovery feature continues to work as it did before. However, it reflects Facebook's increasingly visible desire to fully compete with specialized services such as YouTube and Periscope in the field of video.
The update, which brings a new look to the Explore tab, is currently only available in the US. However, we can be sure that they will also arrive to us in the near future.

Microsoft launches public beta testing of Word Flow keyboard for iOS (14/4)
One of the prized components of Microsoft's mobile operating system has always been its high-quality Word Flow software keyboard. This allows you to write quickly with smooth strokes on the keyboard and also offers additional functions, among which we can find, for example, the option to set your own underdrawing under the keys or a handy mode for typing with one hand.
Some time ago, there was information that Microsoft would bring this keyboard to iOS as well. However, it was not clear when. But now there has been a significant shift and the development of the keyboard has already reached the public beta stage. So if you don't want to wait for the sharp version, you can go through special page of Microsoft sign up for testing and you will be able to try Word Flow now.

iPhone users will soon be able to use the Samsung Gear S2 watch (April 14.4)
Samsung already promised in January that its Gear S2 smart watch will also bring support for Apple's iPhone. However, there was no mention of when and in what form such a thing should happen. But this week, the pre-final version of the iPhone application, which is supposed to be used to manage the watch, was leaked to the public. In theory, the app may not be an official Samsung creation, but there is no indication that it is a fake.
The beta app was posted on the XDA forum, where users even had the option to download and try it out. Thanks to this, we know that the application can already reliably forward notifications from the iPhone to the smart watch from Samsung. At the same time, the application will also be able to install and manage applications from the Gear Store.
For now, the watch management tool has a number of shortcomings. In order for everything to work as it should, the app must run in the background. In addition, you need to have specific firmware installed on the watch. However, Samsung is certainly already working on removing the last unfinished business, and the leaked beta shows that iPhone users could expect support for watches from the Gear S2 very soon. So it will be interesting to see how the watch of the Korean competitor drowns the Apple Watch.

The official application of Reddit is now in the Czech App Store
Reddit is one of the most popular discussion communities on the Internet. To view it on iOS devices, you've had to make do with a third-party website or app (Reddit bought one of them, Alien Blue).
Now an official browser has appeared on the App Store, which uses the classic elements of the iOS 9 user interface (bottom bar with categories, lists, pure white textures and minimalistic controls) to convey to users the existence of what is probably the largest discussion forum in the world.
Reddit on iPhone is divided into four main categories - current discussions, browsing the entire forum, inbox and your own profile. It is therefore very easy to find your way around the application, and nothing prevents the user from actively participating in the creation of its content.
Reddit is in Available in the App Store for free. However, the application is currently only intended for iPhone, and iPad users have to make do with the aforementioned alternative application Alien Blue, which remained in the App Store. According to Reddit, however, this application will no longer receive new updates and features, as the attention of the development team has shifted to the new official application.

Adobe Post 2.5 supports Live Photos
V December Adobe has released the Post app for iOS, which is used to easily create graphics for sharing on social networks. In the latest update, the ability to work with Post has been added live Photos, i.e. photos augmented by three-second videos. This means that live photos can now be added to the application with all the graphic elements in its menu.
In addition, Post expands the methods of creation that further reduce the demands on the user's own aesthetic sense. The "Design suggestion wheel" will offer him possible combinations, from which he only selects the ones he likes the most and can work with them further. The "Remix feed", along with new templates every week, will provide a diverse range of templates and graphic designs from professional creators. Text alignment guides will then simplify work with typography.
The pleasant news is that the resulting images can now be exported in a maximum resolution of 2560×2560 pixels.
Sketch 3.7 brings a new look to the "Symbols" feature
Sketch is a vector editor for creating graphics. Its latest version mainly brings a new way of working with graphic objects called "Symbols". If the graphic artist creates an object, he can save it within a special page dedicated to these objects. This creates the so-called "master Symbol". The given object can then be used as many times as needed in your project and change its form for each individual use, while the master Symbol remains in its original form.
If the graphic designer decides to modify the master Symbol, the change will be reflected in all instances of the given object, in the entire project. In addition, if the user makes a change to a specific version of the object, he can decide to apply it to the "master Symbol" as well. This is done by simply dragging and dropping the changed element onto the "master Symbol" shown in the sidebar. This drag and drop of changes is possible when working with layers. In addition, the application also recognizes if the text layer of the symbol overlaps another and solves the problem itself.
Sketch 3.7 also includes improvements for grids, editing text layers, and placing objects. Furthermore, it automatically adjusts the size of the desktop to meet the user's required parameters.
