Gates of Skeldal will see a sequel on iOS (7/4)
This week, our editors were officially informed that a sequel to the legendary Czech game Brány Skeldal is in development. This time we will first see a version for mobile devices (iOS and Android) and later also games for PC and other platforms. Turn-based battles will return with the ability to split up your party members, you'll once again be able to use elements to cast spells, but you'll also have other forms of magic at your disposal. Heroes this time will be recruited exclusively from the ranks of mages. They will, however, be able to use cold weapons as well. In addition, a whole new kind of musical magic will appear in the game.
In the new installment of Bran Skeldal, the player confronts wild mages who regularly attack a village of poor peasants and rob them of most of their crops. So one day the villagers collect their last money and go to town to hire mages for their defense. You will be encountered and your first task will be to find the other six mages and help the poor villagers. All seven magicians are designed in such a way that they can be controlled comfortably on tablets and phones.

New applications
Mortal Kombat X has come to iOS and is one of the most brutal games on the App Store
The release of Mortal Kombat X was first announced in March. Familiar characters, attractive graphics, several game modes and many attacks and brutal ways to kill the opponent were promised. The just released game has all these features. In the latest demo, great emphasis is also placed on the special "x-ray" display of fatal hits, allowing the player to enjoy his victory to the last detail.

Those waiting for Mortal Kombat X for Playstation 4, Xbox One or PC may also find the iOS version "useful", as the bonuses unlocked in it can then be transferred to other versions of the game.

Important update
Mapy.cz from Seznam are newly optimized for iPhone 6 and 6 Plus
Seznam came with updates to its top map application Mapy.cz. It now natively supports new iPhones with larger displays, and Maps can finally use the potential of a larger display area. The user will thus see a sharper map and a larger number of search results.
Mapy.cz also came with a number of fixes. The application crash immediately after its launch, which some users encountered after restoring from a backup, for example, was solved. The list also removed an app bug that caused the phone to sleep while downloading offline maps, which could have caused download interruptions.

Angry Birds Go! it comes with a local multiplayer mode
Rovio this week introduced a new local multiplayer for its game Angry Birds GO! The latter allows players to play against each other with phones connected via Wi-Fi. The multiplayer competitive mode thus acquires a new social dimension.

For now, the feature is limited to one player vs. another player. But Rovio plans to expand the multiplayer mode. In the future, players should be able to race together in larger groups and thus make a party, for example, more special.
Instagram adds Color and Fade tools
Instagram came out with an update this week that brings two new features. These are named Color and Fade. The news will allow you to edit your photos in a slightly better and deeper way, and in particular you will be able to play with the colors and shadows of the image. The new version of Periscope better differentiates between friends and strangers
Periscope is a Twitter app that allows anyone with an iPhone to live stream video and share it on the social network. For now, the application is a bit searching for itself and experimenting a bit with the views on the main page. In the latest version of the application, you will see a separate list of videos from the people you follow, and a tab showing global videos has also been added to the application.
Another added feature is the ability to only allow users that the posting user follows to comment on the stream. Individual users can now be easily blocked by clicking on any of their posts.
iStat Menus 5.1 expands the list of supported computers and setting options
iStat Menus is an application used to monitor the computer's hardware load. Its main home is the top bar of OS X. The latest version has received support for the latest MacBook Pro and Air, and should significantly improve functionality on the iMac with a 5K Retina display.
In addition to many fixes and performance improvements (including more accurate graphics card and disk usage measurements and reduced RAM usage), several displayable information have been added. These include more details about the memory in Memory Pressure mode, displaying the load of individual disks (even within the "fusion" disk), displaying the connection speed either only in MB/s or in Mb/s, etc.
In addition, OS X Yosemite users can set the appearance of iStats Menus in the top system bar for "light" and "dark" bar modes separately.
