The social network Twitter continues to strive to be more accessible to ordinary people in order to continue to grow. It currently has just over 241 million users, while Instagram is quickly catching up with 200 million active users. It is photos that Twitter has focused on in the new updates, and in part they are trying to get closer not only to Instagram, but also to Facebook. After all, some time ago he introduced photo filters, so typical for Instagram.

The new update, which was released simultaneously for iOS and Android, will enable photo tagging. Up to ten people can be tagged in the shared photos, while these tags will not affect the number of remaining characters of the tweet. Users can also choose who can tag them in the new privacy settings. There are three options: everyone, only people you follow, or no one. As soon as someone tags you in the photo, the application will send you a notification or an email.

Another new feature is the sharing of up to four photos at once. Twitter has clearly been putting a lot of emphasis on photos lately, as evidenced by the recent display of large photos in tweets from late last year. Multiple photos should create a sort of collage instead of a list, at least in terms of display. Clicking on a photo in the collage will display the individual photos.

Twitter continues to strive to create a more user-friendly network, and the new changes go along way. Fortunately, this is not one of the controversial steps, such as the change in the blocking policy, which was supposed to function more like an ignore, and which Twitter changed back due to public pressure. You can download the updated version 6.3 client for iPhone and iPad for free. Unfortunately, the mentioned news does not work for everyone yet, none of our editors can tag or send multiple photos at once in the new version. Hopefully changes will appear gradually.

In addition, there is another pleasant news for the Czech Republic. Twitter has finally corrected the geolocation and the tweets are now correctly marked as from the Czech Republic, but for now this only applies to tweets sent from the official Twitter application, and functionality throughout the country is not certain.
