Dan Pražák AirPods naturally get along best with Apple products, but they are compatible with almost any device equipped with Bluetooth. You can easily connect them not only to an Android phone or tablet, but also to a Windows computer. The problem arises when the devices in question only support the connection of wired headphones - this most often happens with multimedia systems in airplanes or buses. And just for these cases, TwelveSouth introduced its AirFly Pro accessory, which will allow you to connect AirPods to virtually any device with a 3,5 mm jack connector.

The original AirFly only supported AirPods. In the case of the new AirFly Pro, however, TwelveSouth has significantly expanded the functionality of its accessory, which not only enables the connection of all wireless headphones (including Beats, for example), but also offers several other interesting functions. For example, it is now possible to connect two wireless headphones and share the sound from one device/system with another person.
In addition to on-board entertainment systems in airplanes, AirFly Pro can also be used, for example, with TVs on exercise bikes in the fitness center or, for example, with the Nintendo Switch console, which does not natively support the connection of wireless headphones.
But the supplement can also be used the other way around. If you connect the AirFly Pro to the AUX input in the car radio, you can, for example, play the navigation sound from the iPhone to the speakers in the car. In a similar way, it is possible to turn old speakers into wireless ones and play music from your computer or phone to them. A switch located directly on the side of the accessory is used to select one of the modes.
AirFly Pro requires power to transmit wirelessly. This is ensured by an integrated battery that lasts 16 hours and can be recharged via USB-C, which the accessory has.
Starting today, AirFly Pro is offered exclusively by Apple, even in the Czech Republic. On the domestic Apple Online Store, it costs CZK 1, with free delivery. In addition, the accessory will be available for purchase at brick-and-mortar Apple Stores worldwide.
A neat little thing, useful. I am in. I use it both on the go to connect AirPods, and sometimes also with the splitter function. And in the car, where I don't have BT, I will be able to play audiobooks from my devices to the car audio. Cool.
