Proof instead of promises that it's worth paying the Tapbots development team again, for example, to take good care of their apps. Less than three weeks after Tweetbot 3 for iPhone was released, the first update is here, bringing most of the features users have been clamoring for…

Long awaited Tweetbot for iOS 7 was released at the end of October and became an instant hit. The developers managed to perfectly redesign their already popular application in line with the new operating system, and Tweetbot once again attacked the top ranks in the App Store.

However, there were also less satisfied users. However, Tapbots are not deaf to their user base, so they went to work right after the release of Tweetbot 3, and now it comes with version 3.1, which is the answer to the numerous requests of users.

One of the issues that I also complained about in the review was the default font size. Tweetbot 3 used a dynamic system font and there was no way to make it smaller or larger directly in the application. If you wanted to do that, you had to change your font system-wide. This option is no longer missing in Tweetbot 3.1, v Settings > Display you can easily customize the font size.

Especially more demanding Twitter users did not like that Tapbots removed simple switching between lists (timeline) in the new version. However, version 3.1 already brings back this popular feature, so it is possible to switch between them again by pressing the name in the top panel.

Another thing that Tapbots removed from previous versions and didn't appear in the new one was the swipe gesture from left to right on a tweet. That too is coming back now. A long drag prompts a quick response, a shorter drag marks the tweet with a star or retweets (the function can be selected in the settings).

The so-called the long and short swipe gesture is very natural in Tweetbot, unlike some other applications. For a quick reply, you definitely don't need to drag the tweet from one side of the display to the other, but just swipe it away. For the asterisk, it is enough to make the movement much shorter.

For those who are not fans of round avatars, Tapbots has prepared the option of returning square images. However, he gets used to the round shape quickly and it fits me better in the new Tweetbot. The ability to email conversations or share them via Storify returns. And for retweeted posts, the link has been removed for clarity Retweeted by, only the name and symbol remained.
