As part of the beta version of the television operating system with the designation TvOS 9.2 new features are constantly being added. This has not changed even with the third beta of the system, and this time, too, Apple has prepared news that are worth mentioning. When working with the fourth-generation Apple TV, it is now possible to use dictation and also search the App Store with the help of the Siri voice assistant.

With the new dictation option, Apple TV owners can enter text as well as usernames and passwords with their own voice, which can often be faster and more convenient than typing everything manually on the keyboard, which is not exactly user-friendly on the TV. To make the function available, it is only necessary to install the latest tvOS beta and then enable dictation after the system prompts.

The second novelty is the already mentioned possibility of searching through Siri. Users can now search for specific applications or games by voice. You can then easily search even entire categories, which will significantly facilitate browsing the relatively confusing App Store on Apple TV.

It is not yet clear whether it will be possible to somehow turn on dictation in the Czech Republic, but since Siri is still not supported here, domestic users will probably be out of luck.

Along with these latest additions to the system, tvOS 9.2 will also bring support for Bluetooth keyboards (again for easier text input, which is why the update for Remote), support for iCloud Photo Library and moving Live Photos, and will also allow users to organize applications into folders. But there is also a redesigned interface of the application switcher and the MapKit tool for developers.

tvOS 9.2 is currently only available as a developer trial. However, together with iOS 9.3, OS X 10.11.4 and watchOS 2.2, it should arrive to the general public in the spring.
