Who doesn't know Atari Breakout - a now 44-year-old game that was featured on many arcade machines. In addition to slot machines, the Atari Breakout game later appeared on the Atari 2600. Nolan Bushnell, Steve Bristow and Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple, are behind the birth of this game. In this game, you are "placed" in a simple environment in which your platform is located, which you can both move around and use it to bounce a ball. This ball then destroys the blocks at the top of the screen. In the original version of the game, the blocks had a different number of "lives", so you had to hit them multiple times to destroy them. If you don't bounce the ball with your platform after bouncing it, it's game over.

Now on the Internet you can find countless different "clones" of this game, from original concepts to completely redesigned ones. Classically, you control your platform with the mouse or arrows, but in the case of the game TouchBreakout it is different. The latest MacBook Pros feature a Touch Bar, which is a touch pad located on top of the keyboard. This surface classically replaces the function keys F1, F2, etc., in addition to them, it is possible to display various tools on the Touch Bar depending on the application you are in. However, if you have the TouchBreakout game installed and running, instead of everything else, your "bottom" platform will appear on the Touch Bar, from which the aforementioned ball bounces upwards.

Controlling the TouchBreakout application, or rather the game, is very simple, just like the application itself. After launch, you will be presented with a game surface prompting you to launch the game via any button. After launch, you can start playing right away. As I mentioned before, you control the lower platform with your finger on the Touch Bar. It takes a while to get used to the controls on the Touch Bar, but after a while TouchBreakout literally absorbs you. You play TouchBreakout for the highest score, so the game runs and restores the upper blocks until you make a mistake and the ball "falls" down through your platform. You can find the best score on the home screen of the game, then in the upper left you will find a button that allows you to reset the entire game. If you are bored here and there and want to shorten your long moments in some way, I can only recommend TouchBreakout. It is available directly in the App Store for a symbolic 25 crowns.
