Messenger is one of the most used chat apps in the world. Considering that it currently has around 1.3 billion users, there is a high probability that you use it too. After all, if not, you probably wouldn't have opened this article at all. We can use Messenger not only on the web, but also directly on our smartphones. Even though this app is really easy to use and clear, there are a few features that you might not know about. So let's take a look at Messenger tips and tricks together in this article.

Automatic media storage

If you also use WhatsApp, for example, in addition to Messenger, you surely know that by default, all photos and videos you receive are automatically saved to Photos. For some, this function may be convenient, but for individuals who often communicate with a large number of users, or in groups, it is rather an unwanted function. If you would like to (de)activate the automatic saving of media from Messenger, just click on the top left of the main page your profile icon, and then go to the section Photos and media. Simple here activate possibility Save photos and videos.

News requests

If an unknown Messenger user writes you a message, the conversation will not appear immediately in the classic chat list, but in message requests. Here you can view the message and its sender for the first time, while the other party will not be shown a read receipt. Based on that, you can then decide whether you want it accept or ignore the request, or you can directly the person in question block. If you approve the request, a connection will be made and the conversation will appear in the chat list. You can view all requests by clicking on the top left of the main page your profile, and then go to Message requests. Annotation of images

In addition to text, you can of course also send pictures via Messenger, which does not need a reminder. Surely you have already found yourself in a situation where you needed to mark something on a photo or image, or use annotations in any other case. To annotate, use the native Photos application, but the easiest way is to use directly Messenger, which also allows annotation. If you would like to annotate an image here, click on photo icon next to the message box open the photo selection interface, and then on specific photo, which you want to send click Then just click on the bottom right edit, make annotations and then take a photo send.

Muting conversations

If you are added to various group conversations in Messenger, or if you are chatting with someone who is chatting, then it has definitely happened to you that one notification after another came to you, accompanied by sound and vibration. Of course, this can be annoying, for example if you are trying to study or work. In Messenger, however, you can activate do not disturb mode in individual conversations to turn off notifications, either for a certain time or until you turn them on again. To activate it, do specific conversations move, then tap at the top group name whether username. Location sharing

Chances are, you've already found yourself in a situation where you needed to tell someone your exact location - for example, to get a ride. In this case, the easiest way is to directly send your location as part of a conversation in Messenger, according to which the other party will then be able to easily find you. So for temporary location sharing go to specific conversations, and then click to the left of the text box circled + icon. Then press on the right in the menu navigation arrow and then tap on Start sharing your current location. Then the location will start to share for one hour, however you can stop location sharing manually.
