The Google Docs platform is not only a popular tool for working with documents in a web browser environment, but also in applications for iPhones and iPads. In today's article, we will present four tips and tricks that will be useful to everyone who works with the Google Docs application on their iPad.

Offline access

One of the benefits of Google Docs on iPad is that you don't necessarily have to depend on an active internet connection to work with selected files. You can work with the documents that you make available offline in this application even without access to Wi-Fi or mobile data. To make the selected document available offline first open the desired document and tap the three dots icon in the upper right corner. In the menu that appears, you only need to activate the item Make available offline.

Collaborate with others

The Google Docs app on iPad also offers the ability to collaborate on individual documents with other users. To start collaborating on a document, first tap iend of three dots in the upper right. In menu, which is displayed, select it Share and Export -> Share. To set up sharing details, click in the section Who has access na green round icon.

Find and replace

Are you writing a long document and realized too late that you are repeatedly writing a word in the wrong form? You don't have to worry about having to fix the error manually. IN upper right corner click on three dots icon and then select Find and replace. Then enter the original and new expressions in the respective fields and you can start a quick replacement.

Create the content

Similar to the web version of Google Docs, you can also create content with individual chapters in the corresponding application on the iPad for a better overview. Individual chapters will be created automatically if chapter title mark and then after tapping on underlined “A” at top right you choose a style "Heading 2". To easily switch between individual chapters, then click on icon of three dots in the upper right corner, select Outline of the document and then tap the chapter you want to view on the outline.
