The Dock is a thing on our Apple computers and laptops that we use every day. We launch the most used applications through the Dock, and actually not only applications - we can simply add everything we need quick access to the Dock. But it can happen that you swallow your Dock with applications and start to get lost in it - in that case, the Dock becomes more of your enemy. Fortunately, there is a way to restore your Dock to the way it was when you first opened it after purchase. Reset the Dock to its original display

If we decide to reset the Dock view for any reason, we need to move to the Terminal, where all the magic will happen:

  • In the right part of the top bar, click on magnifying glass to activate Spotlight
  • We write in the search field Terminal
  • Confirm with the key Enter
  • You can also open Terminal secondarily from a folder Utility, which is located in Launchpad
  • Now you are without quotes copy this command and enter it in Terminal"defaults delete com.apple.dock; killall dock"
  • Confirm with the key Enter

After confirmation, the Dock will be arranged immediately will reset to default settings.
