The iPhone, iPad and iPod touch are nice devices, but they also have their dark sides. But if we watch them for endless hours, it harms our health. In order to avoid such problems, the XVision development team brings a way to limit looking at the display.

Application EyeCare - save your vision its name alone speaks for itself. One study states that the 20-20-20 rule should be used when using similar devices. What's going on? Take a break from the display at least every 20 minutes and look at a distant object for 20 seconds. Headaches, fatigue, blurred vision, loss of concentration or dry eyes can often occur.

EyeCare couldn't look simpler. You turn on the application, set how long it should remind you to take a break, press Start, and then you just wait. When the set time expires, a notification pops up on your screen "Time to take an eye break" ("It's time to take a break"). Of course, EyeCare runs in the background, otherwise it would lose its meaning. You can then deactivate the application at any time with the Stop button.

The second application that serves similar purposes is from the XVision workshop Game Time Limit for Parents. And even here, after reading the name, you will probably get an idea of what it will be for. Pediatricians recommend that children should not play with iPhones and other devices for more than two hours a day. And why not gain control over their actions? Game Time Limit is especially suitable for parents, to whom the application is also addressed.

The principle is again simple. You set a time limit during which the user can play with the phone, enter a password and you're done. After the set time has passed, a message pops up “Game Time Over” (“Game Time Over”). Although the notification can be skipped, it will immediately reappear and your child will have no choice but to enter the password, otherwise the app will constantly pester them and prevent them from playing with the phone. And since he doesn't know the password, he'll gladly give it back to you.
