Tim Cook has a high inclination towards charity. This year, too, it is already organizing a traditional auction, during which two individuals will get the opportunity to have lunch with the highest representative of Apple. Similar meetings are held for the fourth time and all the money goes to charity.

This year's charity auction will be carried out in the same spirit as the previous four years. Tim Cook via organization CharityBuzz Offers to the two highest bidders, an exclusive hour-long lunch session right at Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, California. Lunch is included in the selected amount, but travel and accommodation are not. In addition to the lunch, he also offers selected people tickets to an unknown keynote.

The event will expire on May 5 of this year. Also interesting is the fact that if both parties agree on a date at the end of 2016, it is quite possible that Cook's companions will spend an unforgettable moment right in new campus, which could become the company's official center by the end of the year.

Originally, it was expected that an amount of around 100 thousand dollars (about 2,4 million crowns) would be collected, but currently over 120 thousand have already been raised, i.e. about 2,9 million crowns. All of the money will be donated to the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights, a non-profit organization that Cook has supported for several years and serves on the board of directors. It is this organization that primarily aims to achieve a peaceful world by partnering with leaders who support human rights.

The final amount that will be collected and subsequently donated is, understandably, not yet known. Based on previous years, the money collected is gradually decreasing. The most collected was 610 thousand dollars (about 14,6 million crowns) in the year 2013. year 2014 yielded the amount of 330 dollars (001 million crowns) and last year 200 thousand dollars (4,8 million crowns) were collected for charitable purposes.

The charity auction, which ended on Thursday, May 5, finally raised a sum of 515 thousand dollars, which is more than 12 million crowns. The unknown winner will be able to have lunch with Apple CEO Tim Cook and will also receive two VIP tickets to the Apple keynote. The amount auctioned this year is thus the second highest in four years.
