The opposition also criticizes Apple for huge tax breaks, bez which Ireland could have more money for the development of education and other sectors. These concessions were also looked at by the European Commission, which, based on its findings, forced Apple to pay a fine of 14,4 billion dollars, or 325,5 billion crowns.

For Apple's director, taxes were also a topic on which he commented for several media outlets, including agencies Reuters. Tim Cook stated during interviews that se the company is desperate to make the tax system fair to international companies, who say the current system is too complicated. Cook is therefore calling for global tax reform that should reflect the present and the current demands of companies like Apple. During the interviews, he also praised the European GDPR law and added that more such laws are needed in the world to protect the privacy of users.

Hozier comes from an artistic family, having been kicked out of school after he preferred recording music to exams. Many of his compositions are accompanied by video clips focusing on controversial social topics, including domestic violence, the migration crisis, anti-government protests and discrimination against the LGBT community.
