Tim Cook together with Angela Aghrendts took part in a short interview that appeared on the American tabloid server Buzzfeed. The editor interviewed both Apple representatives on the occasion of the opening of the new Apple Store in Chicago, photos of which can be viewed in this article. During a short interview, Tim Cook did not forget to mention the availability of the iPhone X, his potential successor at the head of the company, as well as the role that augmented reality will play in the near future.

Tim Cook predicts that augmented reality will grow to such dimensions as the current segment of mobile applications.

If you go back to 2008 when we launched the app store, a lot of people thought they'd probably never use something like that. See how things have changed and how we view apps today. Basically, we cannot imagine life without them. I think that a similar development will be repeated in the field of augmented reality. It will completely change the way people shop. It will completely change the way people entertain and play games. Last but not least, it will also change the way people learn and approach education. I think that augmented reality will really change basically everything around us.

In addition to augmented reality, the information that Cook should be replaced in his position by Angela Ahrendts, who is currently the head of the entire retail department and is in charge of all Apple stores and everything around them, was also shocked. Cook declined to comment on the subject, asking the editor to ask her directly as she sits next to Cook. Ahrends called the report "fake news" and that it is nonsense. Cook only added that he sees his role as CEO as one of his tasks is to prepare as many people as possible to replace him one day. Once the company's board of directors decides it's time for a change.

As for the iPhone X, according to Cook, it is a device that will set the standard for the next ten years, but that he cannot promise that it will reach everyone the moment sales start.

We'll see how the situation develops. However, we will definitely do everything we can to have as many iPhone Xs as possible.
