After that, we will look together at the edge of the Edge browser, which Microsoft has begun to integrate into its Windows operating system - it is supposed to slow down computers. And in the last piece of news, we look at Uber's regulation to fight the coronavirus.

TikTok, WeChat and Weibo have been banned in one of the world's largest countries

If an application were to be banned in the Czech Republic, it would certainly outrage countless Apple users. But the truth is that in some countries of the world banning of certain applications, or censorship of applications, is completely common. The most famous country in the world that carries out these practices is China, but apart from it, this also applies to India. In this country, the government decided to completely ban some Chinese apps - specifically, the most popular app in the world at the moment, TikTok, in addition to the ban on the communication app WeChat, as well as Weibo, a social network designed for microblogging. But these are certainly not all the applications that have been banned - altogether there are exactly 59 of them, which is a respectable number. The government of India decided to do so because of the privacy violations that all banned apps are responsible for. In addition, according to the government, these apps are supposed to track users and then target ads. It should be noted that not only applications were banned, but also web versions of these services.

AMD has released new drivers for its graphics cards

AMD, the company behind the development of processors and graphics cards, has today released new drivers for its graphics cards. This is a driver called AMD Radeon Adrenalin beta (version 20.5.1) that added support for Graphics Hardware Scheduling. This feature was added in the Windows 10 May 2020 Update from Microsoft. It should be noted that the previously mentioned function is supported only by the RX 5600 and 5700 graphics cards. As you can already guess from the name of the driver, it is a beta version - if for some reason you need to use the Graphics Hardware Scheduling function, you must download it beta version of this driver, using this link. In addition, AMD has also released drivers for Macs and MacBooks, specifically for Windows running in Boot Camp. Specifically, these drivers added support for the high-end AMD Radeon Pro 5600M graphics card, which you can newly configure on the 16″ MacBook Pro.

Edge browser significantly slows down Windows computers

Microsoft is struggling with its web browser. He first fell asleep with Internet Explorer - practically until now, funny pictures appear on the web that talk about the slowness of the browser itself. Microsoft completely stopped development of Internet Explorer and decided to start from scratch. The IE browser was supposed to be replaced by a new solution called Microsoft Edge, unfortunately even in this case there was no significant improvement and users continued to prefer to use competing web browsers. Even in this case, Microsoft ended its suffering after some time and ended the initial version of the Edge browser. Recently, however, we witnessed the rebirth of the Edge browser - this time, however, Microsoft reached for the proven Chromium platform, on which the rival Google Chrome runs. It should be noted that in this case Edge has become very popular. It is a very fast browser that has found its user base even in the world of apple users. However, it has now become clear that the Edge browser, built on the Chromium platform, specifically its latest version, significantly slows down computers with the Windows 10 operating system. According to users, it takes up to three times longer for computers to start - but this is not a widespread error. The slowdown is noticeable only on certain configurations. So, let's hope that Microsoft fixes this bug as soon as possible so that the new Microsoft Edge can continue to roll out to users with a clean slate.

Uber is fighting the coronavirus

Even though the coronavirus is currently (perhaps) on the wane, certain regulations must still be followed, along with hygiene habits. Of course, you should continue to use masks, and you should also wash your hands often and, if necessary, use disinfectant. Different states and companies approach the coronavirus pandemic in different ways - in some cases the situation is not resolved in any way, in others the situation is "escalated". If we look, for example, at the company Uber, which takes care of the "employment" of drivers and the transportation of clients, we can notice quite strict measures. Already, all drivers, along with passengers, must wear masks or anything that can cover their nose and mouth when using Uber. However, Uber has decided to tighten the regulations even more – in addition to wearing masks, Uber drivers must regularly disinfect the back seat of their vehicle. But Uber won't let drivers buy disinfectant with their own money - it has partnered with Clorox, which will supply hundreds of thousands of canisters of disinfectant, along with other cleaning products and wipes. Uber will distribute these products to drivers and recommends that they clean the back seats after each ride.
