She is Pianist

The story of W. Szpilman, a great pianist and renowned interpreter of Chopin's compositions. The plot begins at the moment when Chopin's Nocturne in C# minor is played by him on the Warsaw radio. The year is 1939 and Szpilman is 28 years old. Poland is attacked by German troops, who soon come to its capital, Warsaw. Almost immediately, harsh restrictions are applied to the local Jewish community. Szpilman and his family - parents, brother and two sisters - have lived a happy life until now, but soon they are forced to submit to humiliating rules. In addition to running out of money and food, they must wear the Star of David on their hands under threat of severe punishment. The pressure is gradually increasing and the family is getting worse and worse. They are soon forced to sell paintings, silverware, furniture, and eventually Szpilman's piano. The biggest blow, however, is the decision according to which all Jews are to be placed in a closed compound surrounded by high walls - a place that will soon go down in history as the Warsaw Ghetto.
