Whether you're familiar with Bejeweled or not, whether you like the game principle of moving stones to make 3 or more of the same color more or less, hold on to your hats. This game really draws you in and won't let you go for a long time.

At first glance, it may seem that the game is the same as the already mentioned older brother Bejeweled. The second point of view is not so clear anymore - apart from the fact that Montezuma is much better graphically processed, apart from the fact that the overall atmosphere and level of entertainment is shifted somewhere completely different, nothing much has actually changed. And that's what it's all about. They took a quality and popular game, improved it graphically and sound wise, and added something new that was missing all this time. So what's the difference?

The principle remained. In the 41 levels contained in 5 total game plans, you have at your disposal, say, a game table with different colored stones arranged on it. You move these stones so that they form at least three of the same color and then they responded, disappeared and new ones could fall onto the playing surface. However, this is not the main idea of the game, unlike Bejeweled. The point is to put in reaction stones marked with a diamond to collect the given number of diamonds.

As the game progresses, not only does the difficulty increase, but you can also unlock up to 6 magical totems and several bonuses that make the game easier for you. All these gadgets you you buy for gold stars, which you get during the game for points, combo moves or perhaps well-played bonus levels that you play here and there during the game. Of course, there are also obstacles, such as a trapped stone, which must react once in order to freed and a second time to make it disappear, or a stone that cannot be put into the reaction at all. I mustn't forget the 9 trophies you'll be awarded for your in-game performance. Each of the trophies has 3 levels, from bronze to gold.

The effect of chance, which hides somewhere in the distance and you basically don't even notice that it interferes with the game, is also perfectly thought out. Because you never know which stones will fall on you instead of those reacted, so your plans can suddenly be thwarted and you have to come up with a new strategy from second to second, because you are limited by time, so your reactions have to be very fast.

Due to the fact that sometimes the game is really very fast, here and there there will be not only cosmetic errors, but also serious errors that will greatly affect the overall progress. Even so, Treasures of Montezuma is a very successful title and I highly recommend this great game to everyone. You can try it first free version.
