The American TV station CNBC came up with an interesting survey. Their All-America Economic Survey also included several questions about owning an Apple device. A similar survey was held for the second time, the first was conducted in 2012. Five years ago, it turned out that exactly 50% of users own a product from Apple. Now, five years later, that number is significantly higher and the prevalence of these products among Americans is significantly higher.

In 2012, 50% of the population had an Apple device, with the average household owning 1,6 Apple products. Considering the US population and its social distribution, these were very interesting numbers. The ones from this year, however, go a bit further. According to newly published results, almost two-thirds of Americans own an Apple product.

Specifically, this is 64% of the population, with the average household owning 2,6 Apple products. One of the most interesting figures is that in almost every demographic the ownership rate is above 50%. And this both for people in the pre-productive age and for those in the post-productive age. The same level of ownership is also found in households with a very low annual income.

Logically, the highest frequency of apple products is among more mobile people. 87% of Americans whose annual income exceeds one hundred thousand dollars own an Apple product. In terms of product/household, this corresponds to 4,6 devices in this reference group, compared to one in the poorest monitored group.

The authors of the research testified that these are completely unprecedented numbers, which have no analogues in connection with products that move at a similar price level as those from Apple. Few brands can convince customers as well as Apple. That is why their products appear even among social groups for whom buying a new iPhone is a relatively irresponsible step. Over 800 Americans took part in the survey this September.
