Almost everyone is watching some TV series these days. The problem is that we often watch several such series, so it's not a good idea to keep them in order. We can implement it using the TeeVee application from Czechoslovak developers.
TeeVee can boast of a graphically very good user interface, which personally won me over immediately. When you start the application for the first time, you will be guided to the upper right corner, where you can click on the button more you choose your favorite series. The list is quite comprehensive, however, it draws from foreign sources, so Czech and Slovak series cannot be found in TeeVee.
The rating is also displayed directly in the alphabetically ordered list - the stars are drawn from the server upstream.com. After clicking on the selected series, you have two options: either to display more information about it, or to add it to the main page.
The principle of TeeVee is that on the main page you will see your favorite series in a grid (similar to the application in iOS), which when you click on them, you will receive information about the next episode (title, broadcast time, countdown) and you can immediately set it to the application alerted to the new part. Brief information about the entire series is also given below.
In the tab cast we find a list of actors together with their roles and in the third tab Episodes is a list of all aired episodes with a short description.
TeeVee also offers the option of viewing all upcoming episodes at once. In the upper left, we choose Upcoming and a list of upcoming episodes will appear - the series, episode title and broadcast date are listed.
That's all TeeVee can do for now, but the developers at CrazyApps promise to add more and more features in future updates. Personally, I would especially welcome a list in which it would be possible to check which parts of the given series I have already seen and which ones I haven't seen yet. This could also appear in a future update.
any free alternative?
We are missing a similar application for our conditions - watching our series on our TV stations plus supplementing scheduled movie viewing, etc. A good idea for Czech developers.
SteveJSF: We're getting ready for a new SerialZone API, so maybe someone will rock something like that with our data. It is not a problem for us to track series even on Czech stations.
I've been using iTV Shows for a month now, versions for ipad, iphone, cloud sync, notifications, even the lite version. But this doesn't look bad either, I'm missing the iPad version, I won't be pulling out my iPhone in the living room :)
An iPad version is in order.
Well, that's good news. I bought the app, I don't regret it, but in order to use it regularly, I lack a list of series episodes with the last seen one and an automatic notification at a certain time after the broadcast.
If there was also a version for MAC OS X or at least some web environment, it would make sense to me. Unfortunately, it's not very useful this way, so I'm sticking with the design-horrible but functional myepisodes.com
In the update, for example, if a new episode of the series is released, the series will be marked with a star, including a brief episode. The iPad version will include iCloud sync between devices.
The antivirus tells me that these pages are somehow fucked up!
To be honest, this app is pretty much a beta:
– serials cannot be searched, but only browsed
– aren't there all the series where Spartacus is needed?
– why do I have to mark manually that I want to notify them all?
– missing info on which series I have been notified and which ones have not
- missing information about what was going on
– missing information about whether I found the part or not
Thank you all for your insights and opinions. We have carefully written down all the points and they will be part of updates in the near future.
I don't understand why I'm getting reminders for a series that I've already removed from my list?
