It's been quite a turbulent week for Apple Music and the entire California company. But the result of intense negotiations is ultimately a great success for Apple - Taylor Swift just announced on Twitter that her latest album 1989 will be available for streaming on Apple Music. No other streaming service has these rights.

Apparently, a few days before the start of Apple Music, which is scheduled for Tuesday, June 30, the popular singer definitely put an end to the big media case she had already started. That when at the end of last week wrote an open letter to Apple, in which she complained that the Californian giant would not pay artists any royalties during the trial period.

Apple immediately responded to this through the head of the new music service, Eddy Cue, saying that changes plans and finally to the artists will pay even during the initial three months, when customers can use Apple Music completely free. When then thanks to this change he also got independent publishers and artists on board, the only question remained: will Taylor Swift be convinced?

In the end, she decided that Apple Music's new terms were fair enough, and so the Apple music service will be the first to stream the successful album 1989. "This is simply the first time that I felt it was right to let stream my album. Thank you, Apple, for changing your approach.” she explained on Taylor Swift's Twitter.

Although the pop singer has not yet released her latest album to stream to other companies, in another tweet she pointed out, that it's not "some kind of exclusive deal like Apple has with some other artists." This means that in the future, for example, the album 1989 could also appear elsewhere.

But it's a clear win for Apple at this point. Gaining the full catalog of one of today's most successful singers, especially after the escapades we've seen in the last week, could put Apple Music in a much better place to start. After all, Swift's fifth studio album has sold millions of copies and remains in the top ten best-selling albums on iTunes.
