The iOS operating system is not a very easy target for hackers, but that does not mean that it is 100% immune to attacks. It can sometimes be difficult to find out whether your iOS device has accidentally become a target of attackers, and this detection is often made difficult by Apple itself with its security measures.

However, the developers from the company Trail of Bits managed to develop the iVerify security application. She already is available in the App Store for 129 crowns and promises users that it will help them detect a possible attack on their iPhone or iPad. The application works on the principle of detecting phenomena that usually accompany such an attack.

However, iVerify cannot remove consequences or malicious software. The apparent "powerlessness" of the app is not the fault of its creators - Apple's security settings prevent the apps from communicating with each other in certain ways, so iVerify has to find other ways to detect the hack.

In case the application detects a potential attack, it will send an appropriate notification to the user and at the same time create a personalized URL detailing what anomaly or attack actually occurred. At the same time, it sends a message to Trail of Bits and provides the user with the necessary instructions to follow. In addition to detection, iVerify also serves as an informative and educational application. It provides users with recommendations on how to improve privacy, advice on two-factor authentication or using a VPN.

iVerify is certainly not a useless application. The number of cases where iOS devices have been hacked or system bugs have been exploited is increasing. In July, Google's Project Zero research experts discovered several bugs in the iMessage application that allowed potential attackers to take control of certain functions in the system.

At the same time, this does not mean that iOS would suddenly become a dangerous and unreliable operating system. Apple still takes security very seriously and sets fairly strict rules in the App Store. As in many other areas, however, the biggest potential risk is the user himself, or his possible careless behavior.
