Of course, this test cannot be taken seriously. The iPhone SE 3rd generation has no prerequisites for you to try to zoom with it at all, even if it has a five-fold digital zoom. The iPhone 13 Pro (Max) clearly has the upper hand in this regard – taking into account the triple telephoto lens and 15x digital zoom, there is not much to deal with.
Rather, we are only interested in showing the contrast between a new and a 5-year-old device, between the one with three lenses and the one with only one. Of course, it's also about the price, because you can get iPhone SE 3rd generation for 12 and a half thousand and its wide-angle lens is actually more than passable under ideal lighting conditions. iPhone 13 Pro models hover around the 30 CZK mark.
The old zoom interface of the native Camera application also testifies to the fact that even Apple itself does not count on the fact that with its SE model you will somehow zoom in on the objects on the scene. To invoke it, you have to do so with a finger spread gesture. You don't even see the value of your zoom here, you only see a slider with plus and minus signs. Newer iPhones already offer a circular scale in which you can choose the zoom quite precisely.

On the left is always a photo from the iPhone SE 3rd generation, and on the right is the photo from the iPhone 13 Pro Max. It's true that the iPhone 13 pro's five-times digital zoom can still be a little useful if such a photo is to capture any information. However, photos with maximum digital zoom are not worth much.
