In the largest city of the US state of Illinois, in Chicago on Michigan Avenue, the now probably iconic Apple Store has opened. On the banks of the Chicago River, it spans 20 square feet, is completely glass, and has a roof that looks like a giant MacBook lid. The designers of Apple and the architecture firm Foster + Partners really went out of their way on the look. The new flagship of all Apple Stores is really worth it. Just as 000 years ago Apple opened its then flagship store in Chicago, so today, just 14 blocks from the original space, an amazing place has grown that "It is only partially created for sale. Our new Apple Store is all about customer service and education. A place where you can discover and learn about our products and get to know each other". This is how Apple Michigan Ave's most professional man, Tim Cook, sees it.

When Apple opened the Apple Store on North Michigan Avenue in 2003, it was also the first flagship store, and now we're back in Chicago opening a new generation of Apple's flagship retail locations. Apple Michigan Avenue exemplifies our new vision where everyone is welcome to experience all of our incredible products, services and inspiring educational programs in the heart of their city. Retail president Angela Ahrendts commented on the events.

Jony Ive, design director for the new store said, "Apple Michigan Avenue is about removing borders inside and out, revitalizing important urban connections within the city". Specifically, the Chicago River, which is now more accessible from Pioneer Park thanks to the huge stairs running up either side of the Apple Store, is credited with heating and cooling the basement. The carbon fiber roof was brought all the way from Dubai and the ceiling below is made up of thousands of oak slats. The huge glass corners are able to withstand the impact of a vehicle traveling at up to 120km/h and all the leather in Apple Michigan Ave is from Hermés. Does anyone still doubt the exclusivity of this place?
