This is what the AirPods 3 should look like based on a leak from Apple

The first iOS 13.2 beta revealed approximate shape of AirPods 3 headphones, which Apple apparently plans to introduce later this year or early next year. Specifically, an icon from the Accessibility section appeared in the new system, depicting AirPods in a never-before-seen design. Based on the leak, several renders of the headphones were created, and thus we get a rough idea of ​​what the AirPods 3 should look like.

We cannot ignore the fact that we have been hearing about the third generation of AirPods more and more recently, which is perhaps closely related to their upcoming premiere. According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, AirPods 3 should arrive at the end of this year or early next year. The headphones should have water resistance and, above all, the function of active suppression of ambient noise. Probably because of the two mentioned innovations, the headphones must be redesigned, which seems to be quite significant.

The icon in the new iOS 13.2 beta depicts AirPods with earplugs, which at first glance may seem like a rather unlikely move on Apple's part. However, the plugs are practically necessary for the proper functioning of active noise cancellation, so their presence on the new generation of AirPods makes sense in a way.

It was based on that icon that several designers created proposals for what AirPods 3 could look like. Although it is quite likely that Apple handles the design a bit better, thanks to the renders we get the most accurate idea so far of what the new generation of AirPods will look like.

AirPods 3 could debut this month, at the expected October conference, where the Californian company should present the 16″ MacBook Pro, the new generation of iPad Pro and other news. Although the products are not directly related, if Apple wants to catch the pre-Christmas shopping period, October is basically the last date. Another possibility is that the third generation of AirPods will be shown at the Spring Keynote alongside of the expected iPhone SE 2.
