At the end of last year, Apple released it with a delay iTunes 11 with a redesigned interface that was largely inspired by the music player in iOS 6. There is an effort to bring iOS and OS X closer together – very similar colors, use of pop-up menus, simplification of the entire interface. In addition to the appearance, the behavior of some parts of iTunes has also changed slightly. One of them is the synchronization of applications with iOS devices.

Since the sidebar has disappeared (however, in the menu Display it can be turned on), many users may be confused at first how to get to iDevice synchronization at all. Just look at the opposite side - in the upper right corner. Then just select the desired device and click on in the top bar Applications (1).

At first glance, you can notice the missing checkbox Synchronize apps. You simply won't find it in iTunes 11. Instead, you see a button for each application Install (2) or Delete (3). So you have to decide individually which apps you want to install on your device and which ones you don't. If you do not want to install new applications, uncheck the checkbox Automatically sync new apps (4) under the list of applications. At the very end, don't forget to click the button Synchronize bottom right.

The rest remains the same as previous versions of iTunes. At the bottom you will find the applications to which files can be uploaded. Most often, these are multimedia players and editors or document viewers. In the right part, you can arrange the app icons in the layout you want if you feel better doing it in iTunes than on the touch screen.
