Apple picker The fifth annual fair and festival of contemporary photography FOTOEXPO 2017 will take place on Saturday, October 21, 2017 in the National House in Vinohrady. On three floors of a beautiful Neo-Renaissance building, you will find:

- Presentation of novelties of 40 leading brands of photographic technology
and accessories - Thematic stages with the possibility of free photography of exotic and glamor models

Who can you look forward to?
In the main lecture hall, Miloš Fic will be introduced right at the beginning with photos from the racing environment; he will be followed by Ondřej Prosický, whose passion is photographing living nature, where he imaginatively records the behavior of animals in their natural environment. Legend of Czech photography Prof. Jindřich Štreit tells what it's like to document life using photography. George Karbus will share his experiences of traveling the world's oceans, where he comes face to face with killer whales of the harsh Arctic or giant humpback whales of the South Pacific. Jan Šmíd will show you the beauty of panoramic photography, be it day or night landscapes; Michael Hanke will present his photos from a series of youth chess tournaments, which were awarded in this year's World Press Photo, the world's most prestigious photojournalism competition. Petr Jedinák will share his experience with photographing the beauty of the female body, whose main photographic themes are human bodies, sexuality and sexual emotions. How to capture the reality of a woman's silhouette better than reality itself can depict it - this is the main topic of Jan Svoboda's lecture, which will conclude the program in the large lecture hall.

In the next lecture hall, don't miss FOTO FRESH, a projection of photographs by young foreign photographers. Among them, two photographers from France will present their work – Guillaume Flandre, Brice Portolano, Tommasso Sacconi from Italy, Alejandro Chaskielberg from Brazil, Andrew Scriven from Britain and an American photographer and instagramer acting under the pseudonym Trashhand. Furthermore, a selection of leading Slovak photographers, holders of the highest European title for professional photographers Master QEP, will be presented in person. Jano Štovka, winner of many prestigious world awards, will share his knowledge of how to exhibit a photographically compact ensemble. This will be followed by the inspiring Ivan Čaniga, focused on advertising and art photography. The presentation will be completed by Peter Bagi, a sought-after commercial photographer dedicated to freelance work and more demanding collages and montages.
VOJTa Herout does not only talk about landscape photography. Successful advertising and fashion photographer Marek Musil reveals the behind-the-scenes of the Burning Man festival, a breathtaking project in the Nevada desert, where people express their attitude to their own lives through their active participation. Finally, in Martin Kamín's two-hour block, you will learn everything about how to photograph the landscape on your travels and expeditions. Hot news from exhibitors, expert advice and special events are an integral part of the FOTOEXPO fair every year. This year too, several dozens of leading brands of photographic technology and accessories will be presented in two exhibition halls with the participation of market leaders such as Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, Olympus and Sony.
