Yesterday, the US Postal Service released a list of the names of celebrities that have been approved for printing commemorative postage stamps intended for collectors. Famous figures of American and world importance have always appeared on these special stamps. Steve Jobs will also join this exclusive club.
The printing of stamps with the image of the founder of Apple will be printed during 2015 in limited quantities. For the Postal Service, commemorative stamps represent a portion of revenue that, thanks to e-mail, has been declining overall year after year. The stamps are more intended for philatelists and, in addition to Steve Jobs, Jimi Hendrix, Michael Jackson, John Lennon or Elvis Presley appear on them. In the case of the King of Rock and Roll, however, it is a reissue of the 1993 stamp.
Due to the limited number of stamps issued, Steve Jobs is unlikely to appear on the backs of letter envelopes rather than in the albums of philatelists. The special stamp will thus become another interesting collector's item for Apple fans alongside the company's first computers, old brochures and other rarities. What about you, to whom would you possibly send a letter with this stamp?
As a fan, I would stand for it, but surely the price will climb to unimaginable heights. And a bunch of copies on eBay.
such brands have various protective elements that are not visible to the naked eye or even under a standard magnifying glass, I know that because I make things :-)
That stamp won't even make it to Europe, I doubt that it could be found, but I would buy it anyway if there was a chance, but even if the price would be abnormal, it would buy a person a new iPhone, maybe even two
