Forum users Macrumors with a hack, they unblocked the ability to use four fingers for use with Exposé on older Macbook Air models and even Macbook Pro. This confirmed that these models can handle multitouch with four fingers, but Apple is blocking this option in software. It was just a matter of forcing certain libraries onto the current system.
I am very curious how Apple will behave and if they will add this "update" to the new 10.5.6 update or if they will continue to advertise it as a benefit of new models. On Youtube it is also possible to find an example of using up to eleven fingers on the trackpad of older Macbook Pros in Linux.
It's just Apple…
He won't be surprised if he can use the trackpad on the Macbook with two fingers and with the third he realizes that there aren't just two ;-) so he can certainly also use three... so basic gestures such as zooming in, zooming out, etc. would certainly be mastered as well... but someone would have to want to, why would he then people bought new laptops, when you are already rich enough for everything, the old ones are enough and until they burn out, there is no reason to buy new ones, when as a bonus they take away FireWire and similar atrocities :-(
