The developers from Aluba Studio thought that they wanted to provide players with a believable experience of the work of a hacker. But they didn't mean the kind of ethical hackers who help various companies with their cybersecurity problems. In the game Cyber Manhunt, you play as a programmer who does not solve moral issues. During the game you will be hired by clients and your goal will always be to invade the privacy of a certain person. To do this, you will use a number of unethical tactics that, according to the developers, are also used by real hackers.

Cyber Manhunt is intended to mimic the work of such a hacker as faithfully as possible. In the course of it, you will use both simple and technologically complex tools. Developers entice you to simply search the web and databases, but also to more sophisticated theft of personal identities and subsequent phishing of information from your victims. The gameplay may not seem entirely attractive from the attached images, but the game offers more than enough tricky logical puzzles. These should, as part of the individual tasks, be linked into one coherent story in which you will build your own hacker persona. Cyber Manhunt won't completely force you to become an evil hacker, the game will rate you on a scale of "good" and "evil" after each decision.

The developers decided on the unusual theme of the game precisely because of its sensitivity, which they mainly wanted to stir up a debate among all kinds of players. Problems in the form of privacy on the Internet, or so-called "fake news", are becoming an increasingly hot topic in public debates. On the product page, the developers themselves mention that they were inspired by games like Papers, Please, This War of Mine or Orwell. So far, their efforts have paid off in Early Access, where the game garnered a large number of positive reviews, and at various indie game shows, where it also took home various awards.
