This also includes route planning and subsequent navigation, for which most people nowadays already use a mobile phone (if not the built-in navigation in the car). And then they decide where to place it. Some are used to a suction cup on the glass, others to a fan rib holder. However, not every bracket works optimally and many people change them frequently. ExoMount Ultra is a holder with a classic suction cup, but it really sticks in such a way that it doesn't let go. At least from my long term experience. I've already seen several iPhones whose display smashed against the iron seat rails just as they fell out of the holder. Either the one with the suction cup or another one that was supposed to be kept in the aforementioned fan.
For a long time I myself happily used another holder from ExoGear, which was cleverly placed in the CD slot. On the one hand, I practically didn't use it in the car, and on the other hand, the holder held it really reliably, so I didn't have to worry about my iPhone falling out with it. After a while, even this holder became a little crooked, so I looked for a successor.
This became the already mentioned ExoMount Ultra, which is a new version of the long-known holder with a suction cup from Exogear, which is designed for all phones with a display diagonal from 3,5 to 6 inches, so it can easily hold phones in cases, including the iPhone 7 Plus.
The suction cup of this holder has ExoSeal technology, which combines nanotechnology with a vacuum system. The manufacturer states that the holder holds without problems on leather, wood, dry wall or even on concrete. I have to admit that it sticks like nails on the dashboard. When I wanted to peel it off, I had to make a lot of effort and at times I wondered if I would tear the entire deck off.
However, once I peeled it off, dust and dirt stuck to the adhesive surface very quickly. Fortunately, the suction cup can be easily washed and the sticky element is back. The holder even holds on porous and round surfaces. I just played around for a while, trying to place it on different furniture and surfaces around the apartment. It held everywhere without any problems. Once you have glued the suction cup, it is always necessary to secure the connection with a fuse and vacuum.
Once you have the holder attached, all you have to do is choose the optimal width of the clamping joints according to the type and size of the phone. You have three sizes to choose from. The jaws are rubberized on both ends, so you don't have to worry about scratching. I myself use an iPhone 7 Plus without back covers and the iPhone still looks like new. At the same time, the jaws are very strong and hold the phone in place even in sharp turns or on the D1 highway.
You can use the ExoGear ExoMount Ultra in either portrait or landscape orientation. Until now, I've always been used to mounting the iPhone vertically, but I have to admit that I quickly got used to the iPhone in a horizontal position. Thanks to the simple locking, you can fix the holder in the selected position and fix it even more. You can install the phone in the holder with one hand by simply pressing one of the jaws of the holders, and you can remove the phone from the holder just as easily. Very plain and simple.
Probably the most difficult task is choosing a suitable place in the car to place the holder. With a bit of luck, you can easily put it on the glass or somewhere on the main dashboard. It just depends on how it looks in your car. ExoGear ExoMount Ultra will cost you a solid 898 crowns. Basically, I have nothing to complain about the holder, because it fulfills its role perfectly, but I still recommend checking from time to time that the suction cup has not loosened somewhere, for example due to sunlight or high temperatures in the car during the summer.
The holder stays on as long as the temperature starts to change. If you attach the holder in the morning, when the sun is not so hot and you don't park the car in the shade, the holder will fly to the ground in the first turn. If you are unlucky enough that the first turn is to the right, you have a holder between the pedals and that is just the right kind of fun...

I've owned the ExoGear ExoMount 2 for a long time, but it's sitting somewhere in a closet. It was also supposed to hold anywhere and anytime, but the opposite is true and also the reason why I changed it to a much better and smaller Kenu Airframe. I definitely don't recommend it.
