Today, the first real competitor to AirPods was launched - the Beats Powerbeats Pro wireless headphones. These headphones are described as "completely wireless" and the charging hardware with a microUSB interface has been replaced with its own charging case with a Lightning connector. Like the second-generation AirPods, the Powerbeats Pro are equipped with Apple's new H1 chip, ensuring a reliable wireless connection and even voice activation of the Siri assistant.

Powerbeats Pro headphones are available in black, blue, moss and ivory. Thanks to the four handles of different sizes and the adjustable ear hook, they fit every ear. Compared to AirPods, the Powerbeats Pro will offer up to four hours more battery life, promising up to nine hours of listening time and more than 24 hours with a charging case.

Like AirPods and Powerbeats3, the new Powerbeats Pro headphones offer instant pairing with an iPhone and synchronization of pairings across devices signed in to the same iCloud account – from iPhone, iPad and Mac to Apple Watch – without having to pair with each individual device. The novelty is 23% smaller and 17% lighter than its predecessor.

The new Powerbeats Pro have undergone a complete redesign of the acoustic system, which results in a faithful, balanced, clear sound with a greater dynamic range. Of course, quality suppression of ambient noise and improved technology for better quality of phone calls are included. These are the first Beats headphones to feature a voice accelerometer. Each of the headphones is equipped with two microphones on each side, capable of filtering the surrounding noise and wind. The headphones lack a power button, they automatically turn on when removed from the case.
