Mission Control

You can easily and quickly switch to Split View mode from full-screen display thanks to the Mission Control function. While working with the selected application in full-screen view, press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + up arrow, or perform a four-finger upward swipe gesture on the trackpad. At the top of the screen you will see a bar with previews of open windows. At this moment, all you have to do is drag the thumbnail of the desired window onto the thumbnail of the mentioned fullscreen window, and click on the newly created thumbnail of the connected windows.

Drag & Drop in Split View

The Split View mode allows you not only to watch the contents of two applications (or two windows of one application) at the same time, but also to work with them. In addition to the fact that you can clearly copy and paste content between the two applications, the Drag & Drop function also works perfectly here, where you simply click on the relevant object in one window, drag it to the secondary window, and simply let go.

Menu bar visibility in Split View mode

By default, the menu bar at the top of your Mac's screen is hidden in Split View. If you want to view it, you need to aim at the top of the display with the mouse cursor. But you can activate the always visible menu bar in System Settings. In the upper-left corner of your Mac screen, click  menu -> System settings. Choose Desktop and Dock and then in the section Menu bar select in the drop-down menu next to the item Automatically hide and show the menu bar variant Never.

Switching windows

In Split View mode, you can easily alternate the contents of windows. In Split View, point the mouse cursor at the green button in the upper left corner of the window you want to replace the content of, but do not click. Finally, in the menu that appears, click on Replace window on tile.

Swap windows

In the Split View mode, you also have the option to swap the windows of both applications with each other. If you want to do so without leaving Split View mode, simply grab one of the windows in the top row area with the mouse cursor and slowly drag it to the opposite side. Panels should be replaced automatically.
