Apple Pay, a mobile payment service that works on iPhones and Watches, has been rolling out across the United States for a year, and this July was launched also in Great Britain. Apple has now revealed that it is also planning to expand the ambitious service to other markets, including one in Europe.

Tim Cook shared new information about Apple Pay at announcement of financial results for the fourth fiscal quarter of this year, which brought, for example, record sales of Macs. The Apple boss announced that, in partnership with American Express, Apple Pay will appear in "key global markets" in the coming months.

Already this year, people in Canada and Australia should be able to start using Apple Pay, and in 2016 the service will expand to Singapore, Hong Kong and Spain, as the second European country. It is not yet clear whether the service will only work with American Express or others.

Cook did not provide information on the further expansion of Apple Pay. For the time being, the plan is to expand to a total of six countries, in the rest Apple is still looking for a consensus with banks and other institutions, so we will have to wait in the Czech Republic as well.
