There are many reasons to use virtual machines. Some need Windows because of specific applications available only for Windows. In turn, developers can easily test their applications on OS X betas running in virtual machines. And someone may have another reason. One way or another, the Parallels Desktop application, which is currently available in its tenth version, is among the top in operating system virtualization.

What games do you need? Can I play through it? Both old (graphically undemanding) and new.
Unlike VMWare, Parallels can use dedicated graphics, so the graphics performance is better in Parallels, but still not the same as if the game ran natively directly on the hardware. You can run old games like Age of Empires or Original War on it, you can barely run Skyrim, but it's definitely not for gaming.
That would probably be enough for me, I have a couple of older games that I would like to steam ;-).
But 2500 is a bit much for steaming old games ;-).
..bootcamp with Windows. And you have a PC from Mac and do whatever you need on it.
I'm not going to change my MAC to the wrong OS, that's why I'm on Air ;-). Ideal when I make a remake for steam ;-).
