Founded earlier this year by the co-founder of OnePlus, Nothing is on the move. The first product from her workshop – true wireless headphones – is due to arrive this summer, but we can already get a rough idea of how it will look in terms of design. The company Facebook is not idle either, which for a change is exploring the possibilities of its own activities in the field of virtual reality. Elon Musk's Tesla, on the other hand, is facing minor problems - it has experienced delays in the delivery of some models of its electric cars.

Design concept release by Nothing

Earlier this year, tech news sites reported that OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei had launched his own tech company called Nothing. At first, not much was known about his new activity - we knew, for example, the company's logo, and a little later it also turned out that Pei plans to produce consumer electronics under the banner Nothing. Today, however, this information finally took a more concrete form. The company has published the first renderings of the Concept 1 principle. This expression may sound strange - the photos do not show actual product designs, but rather a presentation of the approach that the Nothing company wants to apply when designing and manufacturing its products. These are essentially design proposals that could be used in the upcoming wireless headphones produced by the company Nothing. The so-called true wireless headphones, as the first ever product from the Nothing workshop, should see the light of day already this summer. Their design is by Tom Howard, the shape is said to be inspired by a "tobacco pipe". Furthermore, the headphones should be characterized by the absence of any redundant brands and logos and could be made of transparent materials. Nevertheless, the Nothing company draws attention to the fact that the published Concept 1 is not the final product, but rather an example of the principles that will be applied to its products.

Tesla delivery delays

Those interested in Tesla's new electric cars may have been disappointed this week. The company announced on Monday that deliveries of its Model 3 and Model Y will be delayed. According to Tesla, delivery times can stretch for weeks to months. At the moment, Tesla states a delivery period of two to fourteen weeks for its Model 3, and two to eleven weeks for the Model Y, but does not rule out that these periods may be extended in some cases. Tesla has not officially stated the reason for this delay, but it is most likely that problems with the supply of some components are to blame, allegedly due to the closure of some factories around the world. Tesla also suspended production of its Model 7 between February and March 3, but also did not give a reason.

Virtual reality from Facebook

More and more technology companies seem to be interested in virtual reality, and Facebook is no exception. Zuckerberg confided in one of his interviews for The Information podcast this week that he would also like to venture into the waters of virtual reality with his company. For example, he outlined the possibilities of cooperation between Facebook and Oculus, and in this context he further presented his idea of calling in virtual reality, which could also include user VR avatars with the ability to maintain realistic eye contact. "It would be possible to interact with them virtually, place games and other objects in the virtual space, and use them," said Zuckerberg, who, according to his own words, is also looking forward to the arrival of the next generation of Oculus VR headsets. Facebook recently announced its intention to release its own smart glasses in partnership with Luxottica.
