There has been talk for a long time about the possible transfer of production of Apple products from China to other countries, and the company has already taken partial steps to realize this transfer. Now it looks like MacBooks could be among the products that will be manufactured outside of China in the foreseeable future. In addition to this topic, in today's roundup of speculations, we will look at the news that Apple could introduce during this month.

Will MacBook production move to Thailand?

Moving the production of (not only) Apple products outside of China is a topic that has been addressed for a long time and is becoming more and more intensive. According to the latest reports, there could be at least a partial transfer of computer production from Apple to Thailand in the foreseeable future. Among other things, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also talks about it, who stated it on his Twitter last week.

Kuo noted that Apple's entire range of MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models are currently assembled in Chinese factories, but Thailand may become the main location for their production in the future. In this context, the aforementioned analyst said that Apple plans to increase the supply of products to the US from non-Chinese factories in the next 3 to 5 years. Kuo said this diversification helps Apple avoid risks such as US tariffs on Chinese imports. Apple has expanded its supply chain outside of China in the past few years, with some manufacturing now taking place in factories in India and Vietnam. Apple's long-time MacBook supplier, Quanta Computer, has been expanding its operations in Thailand over the past few years. So everything points to the fact that the transfer of production could happen soon.

October - the month of new Apple products?

In the last roundup of Apple-related speculations, we mentioned, among other things, news from the Cupertino company's workshop that could see the light of day during October, despite the fact that the October Keynote will most likely not take place.

According to some reports, Apple could present a number of hardware and software innovations during October. According to available reports, these could be full versions of the iPadOS 16 operating systems with the Stage Manager function and macOS Ventura. However, users could also expect the arrival of the new 11″ and 12,9″ iPad Pro this month. These tablets could be fitted with M2 chips and equipped with MagSafe wireless charging support. The arrival of an updated basic iPad with a 10,5″ display, USB-C port and sharp edges is also expected. Analyst Mark Gurman also leans towards the theory that Apple could also introduce a new MacBook Pro and Mac mini this October.
