In our roundup of Apple-related speculation today, we're going to talk about two different types of products we could expect to see in the foreseeable future — new iPads, but also a possible iMac with Apple's M1 processor. Although the last part of this article does not talk directly about speculation, it does not detract from its interest in any way. One of the former Apple employees revealed that Apple has a secret special program with various benefits for its customers.

New iPads

The Bloomberg agency issued a report at the end of last week, according to which we should expect new iPad Pros in the first half of this year, and allegedly already in April. In this regard, Bloomberg reported that new tablets from Apple could be equipped with ports with Thunderbolt compatibility for even greater expansion of functions and capabilities. In the same way, there should be a significant increase in performance, improved camera capabilities and other novelties. In terms of appearance, this year's models should resemble the current iPad Pro, and should be available in variants with 11″ and 12,9″ displays. There is speculation about the possible use of a mini-LED display for the larger model. In addition to the new iPad Pros, Apple is expected to introduce a lighter and thinner entry-level iPad model this year. It should be equipped with a 10,2″ display. There is also speculation about the iPad mini, which should also see the light of day in the first half of this year. It should have an 8,4″ display with thinner frames, a desktop button with Touch ID and a Lightning port.

A hint of a future iMac with M1

Last week, reports of an as-yet-unreleased iMac with an Apple Silicon processor also surfaced online. The company is said to be currently working on two all-in-one Macs with ARM processors, and these models should serve as successors to the existing 21,5″ and 27″ Macs. The possible existence of a future Mac with an M1 processor from Apple was confirmed by one of the functions of the Xcode program, which was pointed out by the developer Dennis Oberhoff - in simple terms, it could be said that it is a function that allows error reporting for the iMac with an ARM processor. A number of different sources have been talking for some time now that Apple should introduce a completely redesigned product line of its computers later this year, and there is also talk of a new monitor.

Apple's secret service program

Last week, a video appeared on the TikTok social network in which an alleged former employee of the Apple Store speaks. The topic of the video is an alleged secret special program in which Apple Store employees can offer customers all kinds of unexpected benefits. For example, the video creator stated that if a customer is uncomfortable during their Genius Bar appointment, the likelihood that they will pay more for their service order increases. On the contrary, "really awesome" customers are said to have a high chance of receiving better service or even a waiver of the usual fee - the mentioned creator talked about cases when Apple Store employees pleasantly surprised some customers by exchanging devices for free that they would exchange for regular ones circumstances people had to pay. The video has more than 100 thousand views and hundreds of comments on TikTok.
